Salesforce and Siemens have teamed up for a new workspace technology suite to help companies create a contactless office environment when employees return to work. This partnership combines Salesforce products with Siemens smart infrastructure services, including its comfortable and lighted IoT applications.

Key products will include mobile boarding passes for employees to access office buildings and elevators, as well as an occupancy management system that allows employees to book conference rooms and offices through Comfy application.

In addition, the occupancy and location data provided by Enlighted and aggregated within Comfy, including employee registration and office and room reservations, will aim to give businesses an optional contact tracing process in

Enterprise technology providers have accelerated the development of various platforms to help manage work during the pandemic and the transition to the physical workplace. Salesforce launched last month in response to the Covid-19 health crisis. The site gives organizations access to a “command center” application, which provides a common interface for the tools a company may want to use to manage its post-coronavirus operations.

While focuses on reopening the facilities, Salesforce has also compiled resources from third-party partners on the AppExchange COVID-19 Resources for Businesses page. These resources are more focused on tools to stabilize business operations before facilities reopen, such as cloud telephony or digital signature tools.
